10-12 May News
Value
of the Month: Perseverance: “Sticking
to a purpose and never giving up on what one has to do; being
determined to improve; not leaving things unfinished; striving for
excellence.”
We'll be discussing this and reviewing the other
values during snack time.
End
of year assessments!!
May
has arrived and I'd like to accomplish the end of year assessments
prior to the baby arriving. This may not be possible, so thank you
for being flexible with me. :) But I'm going to try and fit in as
many as I can before my due date. We'll get any others figured out,
even if it means having you come visit me after graduation! (we're
all alright with that, right?) :)
These
assessments can be done one on one or with parent(s) present.
Whatever you think your child will be more comfortable with. I'll
compile all the results and give them to you at the end of the school
year. (Or later on, if we end up needing to push our assessments
out.)
I
am doing these on a schedule of 30 minutes before and 30 minutes
after preschool during the first two weeks of May. Please sign up on
the bulletin board for an assessment time slot. Thank you so much!
New
Southwest Branch Library Field Trip: We'll
be taking a tour of the new library, having story time there, and a
snack in the cafe area. This'll also give the kids a chance to see
what room graduation will be in. I need a couple drivers. If you
can, please sign up on the bulletin board.
Preschool
Graduation- Monday, May 23rd
Yes,
I can't believe it either! The time has arrived for Preschool
Graduation! I've loved having these kiddos in my class and am
looking forward to showing you our year in review. Graduation will
be held at the new Southwest Branch library: 2039
W. 4000 S., Roy. Each child's All About Me Poster and a few extra
things will be on display for you to see before and after the
program. Each child will have two speaking parts in the program
itself, too. I will send these home on May 9th so you can help your
child practice.
Attendees'
dress is casual, but I would like best dress for the graduates
please.
Please
invite family and friends! All are welcome!
Don't
forget the Wednesday after graduation we'll be having our goodbye
party at the school during normal school hours. Thanks for giving me
the opportunity to teach your children. It's been a wonderful year.
With
much love and bee-lief,
Miss
SueZan
