Preschool News (A.M. group)

Yay! I'm so looking forward to spring! A few of the tulips the children planted in the preschool garden boxes in November are already starting to peak up through the dirt.

*Fire Station Field Trip: One of my favorite field trips of the school year is coming up on March 27th! We'll be going to the Fire Station at 5051 South 1900 West in Roy. Preschool will start one half hour earlier at 9:30 because our time slot begins at 10am at the fire station. We will be leaving the school at 9:45. Please be sure to leave your child with a booster/car seat if you do not plan to drive. We will need two drivers, so if you'd like to join us, please sign up on the bulletin board. Any other parents and siblings may join us this day, too. It's free!

Sight words for March: the, me, for, said, little, run, play

Just as a reminder: In January we covered I, in, is, it, big, we, up. In February we covered and, look, jump, go, Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. I don't sound out the words with them right now. We just do these words by sight. If you want to practice at home this is how we do it in school on flashcards: “This is the word 'up'. What is it? They respond 'up.' Eventually they will be telling you the words without you telling them. So if you happen to be reading books together and you see one of these words, just see if they can tell you what it is. :)

A big heads up! Preschool Graduation will be held at the Southwest Library in Roy on Wednesday, May 21^st! We will have a pizza party at school the next day for the last day of school.

If you need to pick up other school aged children and then your preschooler, that's fine and they are welcome to stay at the school with me until you can make it.
