APRIL
NEWS
I
love teaching preschool and each month has a favorite unit for me.
But I think my favorite unit of the entire year has to be “The Very
Hungry Caterpillar.” During the month of April, we are going to
observe real caterpillars make the amazing transformation into
butterflies. It is the coolest thing ever! And just so you know,
this is also a project you can do at home if you wanted to look into
it. I order everything I need through www.nature-gifts.com.
Value
of the Month:I
have to say I have loved the introduction of the Value of the month.
I think the kids have enjoyed it too. It's interesting how all of
the values seem to fall back into the first value introduced,
RESPECT. Responsibility, self-control, and citizenship have a lot to
do with respect for others and for ourselves. Our Value of the month
of April is Integrity.
“Being honest. Knowing
the difference between right and wrong and having the courage to do
what is right, even when it is not easy to do so.” We
will learn the sign for Integrity as well as read books and discuss
the value during snack time.
Bubble
Fun Park Day:
We will be having a blast at the park enjoying a little picnic, play
time, and lots of bubble fun. This is a first time ever field trip,
but I'm sure it will be fun! Everyone is welcome! If you would like
to volunteer to drive and help out with some of the activities,
please put your name on the list in the preschool. We will be going
to Clinton City Park 1500 W. 2300 N. Clinton

adding just two new words this month—help

Calling
all photos! I'm
creating a fun slide show for graduation night and would LOVE for you
to send me photos from the first day of school, field trips, the
Christmas Program, class parties, etc. You can text, email,
Facebook, or upload to a site such as Shutterfly and share the album
with me. Thanks for your help in pulling this off! My email, if that

And just
in case you didn't see it on last month's calendar, Preschool
Graduation will be held at the Southwest Library in Roy on Wednesday,
May 20th! Please feel free to invite grandparents and other family
members, etc. It'll be really fun and have some cute displays of the
kids' work throughout the year along with a slide show of our
adventures.
